Here are a couple of pictures of Sam's new bike.  He loves it!!!!

Update 1-5-10

Samuel is doing well. He has learned so much this year.

One day last week he really wanted to go somewhere--anywhere. He took me to his sock drawer, opened it and got out a pair of socks and handed them to me. He walked over to his bed, sat down and raised his foot up. I put on his socks, then he took me to his shoes and when I picked them up, he went back and sat on his bed again. I put his shoes on and he took me by the hand and led me to the bathroom where he proceeded to open the drawer and get out the toothpaste and plopped it down on the vanity. I brushed his teeth and he led me straight to the back door.

After that display of smartness I HAD to take him somewhere! He never stops amazing me...just when I think he may have reached his "limit" he does something else to let me know I should never stop hoping, never stop believing. He brings so much joy to our family!

Samuel weighed 4lbs 7 1/2 oz when he was born Mosaic Trisomy 13. He sat up at 18 months, crawled at 2 1/2 years, and started walking independently at age 4 1/2. He smiles continuously, loves to dance, watch TV and wrestle with his 2 older brothers. He attends Milan Elementary School, where he receives PT, OT & Speech. Samuel does not talk, but communicates by taking us by the hand and leading us to what he wants. He is pure joy!!!!!! Mom & Dad--Tim & Anne Jackson, Brothers--Luke & Noah - Milan, Tennessee

Update: 2-06
Here are a few pictures of Samuel and his new Canine Companion---Roeber.  They make a great team!!  Go to www.cci.org if anyone is interested in getting a skilled companion dog for your child.

Update: 2-10-05
Samuel fell down stairs (15 of them) last Saturday. He broke his R arm and collar bone. When we were at the ER for his arm, they also tested him for RSV and it was positive! We ended up having to rush him to the hospital on Sunday because he was having such a hard time breathing--his arm was hurting too much to cough. Anyway, we spent 3 days at LeBonheur Children's hospital in Memphis, TN which is one of the largest children's hospitals in our region. Please pray for Samuel, he has to wear a splint for 4-5 weeks.

April 2005 - Here are some more pictures of Samuel. He fell asleep with his brother Noah in the bathtub and with his brother Luke in the chair. He can fall asleep anywhere!! This past weekend I made a cake. While I was waiting for the oven to preheat, Samuel helped himself to some batter!!
